This look started heavily around the 1980's/1990's
A sort of mix of fantasy, science fiction, alternate history.

this look has a heavy industrial look to it.
and is often styled of what people from the Victorian area, thought future contraptions and inventions may look like.

Why not head along to Tamatea High school on the 12th of September, and be transported out of this world, into a alternate universe.
With a steam punk inspired evening, with jewellery, cat walk, and nibbles.

The students are working hard to put on a massive night, that should be amazing!!

A Wedding Experience

A WEDDING EXPERIENCE

Last weekend the Pure Hair Team did 9 models hair for Gowns on Gloucester bridal

show at Church Road Winery

Kelly, Alisha and Teagan got amazing reviews for the hairstyles they created

to complement the bridal gowns and under garments displayed for this event.

Each model had a different style to show the ability of the staff at Pure Hair.

Teagan did 4 of the models hair,  and was outstanding!! as he is only in his 2nd year of

apprenticeship.  One of the models who is also engaged to be married next year has asked

if Teagan will be her stylist for her wedding day.  Alisha's loose fish tail braid was the most liked

style of the day.

WELL DONE TEAM!!

Weddings.

Weddings and winter isn't something you would normally think about.

But here at pure hair we have been.
And we love it!!
Winter makes for amazing photos.
And amazing weddings.
The harsh scenery against the softness of your dress.
The rolling clouds over the rawness of bear branches on trees.

A romantic church filled with warmth as you come in from the cold.
A morning of make up and hair around the fire with a cup of coffee or glass of champagne!

Winter makes the romantic of a wedding day slightly more romantic.

We have wedding madness.
Well, a slight obsession at the very least.

Infact two of our lovely girls, Kelly and Sam are off to do a mid-winter wedding photo shoot on Sunday.
So make sure you pop back to have a... geze at some of our own images from the shoot!!

At long last!
We finally have had our launch for youngblood
Mineral cosmetics.

It's been here for a while, and is part of the family at pure,
But with the official launch we got to really use it hands on.
Heaps of fun.

Nicky Blue, national accounts manager was here from Christchurch.
Inspiring our clients and educating them on the history of the range.

It was amazing to have someone so passionate about a range here to teach us tips a tricks.
The night, was super successful and our clients learnt heaps!
Such a success that we may have had a wine well cleaning up.
And nibbled the last of the nibbles.

Hopefully we will be hosting our own make up evenings
After all, our little Sam is off to Wellington for a make up training.
Cant wait for her to show us her new tricks.

Kind of.

Any way, first up, we have the stylish Kimbra.
With her unique vintage style, she is a total heart throb, old fashioned girl.
Making it massive on the international stage.
We love her boutique style.


Gin Wigmore.
How to describe her.
Her voice is so raw, rough and soulful.
She has amazing style, keeping it slightly punk classic.
Making it big on the trans-Tasman stage.
She is beautiful and her music makes me smile.


Shihad.
What New Zealand music month blog would be complete with out them.
There rock style.
They are Icons.
And we love them.


Last but not least.
Zowie.
With her newest album just released.
Her unique electronic, techno pop mix.
She is adorable.
Her tailored look, extremely structured
And her fringe oh my, with the slight under cuts on the side.
Next generation.
